Well this thread has moved on rather quickly.
Disco4pilot, looks good, great to see you have had a positive outcome.
Well done on the write up, good to see you can also decipher Chinese & their pictures!

I in the end went for hema map system on my iPhone 4/iPad, I really wanted to be able to still use the factory phone kit.

Will see what comes out in future maybe, but V happy with what I have at the moment.

Well ummm lol I decided I needed a little more time & patience than the few 'awake' daylight hours in between night shifts..

I intend on running the cabling for a rooftop mounted rear screen or rear headrest screens, then there's the reverse camera, tv aerial & GPS receiver to mount so I might set aside a free day.

    Ok..

Screen & DVD player in. I'm trying to find instructions of some kind, in English if I can. I don't know where to put the hand brake wire or at least wire it to something to blank it out. Theres also two un-named wires green & orange. The bluetooth phone is very ordinary and the beep, with every button press.

I forgot where I saw the link to the two Chinese guys that pulled the interior apart & put it back together again.

Hand brake wire usually needs to be earthed to bypass the switching.

You don't need to connect the hand brake wire to anything. You can turn it off in the settings menu.

You can turn off the beep in the settings menu.

I never found what the spare orange and green wires were for.

The Bluetooth is ordinary in mine too. Some phones it works better than others.

I posted the link in my write up. Don't know if it still works.

Were you able to set up the gps ok?

    Thanks disco4pilot,

I'll duck out after dinner & double check the settings menu, my settings seemed very basic. It didn't seem to matter if I was stopped with the handbrake up or in drive with my foot on the brake it still showed the warning message about safety.

The DVD worked for about 30s then showed the same error message. I still have to hook up the aerial for the gos so that doesn't work just yet. Same with the digital tv.

No worries if I remember correctly it has brake (spelt incorrectly) and a selection next to it. If you select this option it will bypass the brake wire. I can have a look tomorrow if you can't find it. I think the beep on or off is on the same menu.
