If you are wanting to have the radio on to pickup the sound, just turn on the radio itself although IIRC it will turn off after an hour or if the battery voltage drops too much.

    Here's what to do.
First of all, get a second battery. Then take a portable radio with you and plug it into an invertor, which is plugged into a portable12 volt socket, ran off the second battery.
    Problem solved.

    Cheers, Craig

Lol, its tragic, isn't it?! A 100 Ah battery won't get you through a game of footy!
I'm putting in my Traxide this weekend... Bit nervous about DIY auto electrics, but everyone assures me Tim's made it a piece of cake!

On the subject though, is it possible to stay in 'accessories' mode to use a power outlet?

I was the same...a bit nervous - but it's a very comprehensive kit and an easy fit. Just take your time and read the instructions......
    cheers

No I tried that at one point (before even realising I could just turn the radio on without the acc being on) and the battery went flat after a short time.

Can the 10 minute limit be changed via a Faultmate or similar setting at all ?

I'm about half way after 5 hrs, a bit of skin and many cups of tea to gather my thoughts. The instructions are definitely comprehensive, and the tips are not worth ignoring, especially the one re tying string to the power socket extension lead to get it through the firewall above the accelerator. A little loop in the end of the string makes it very easy to pick up inside the engine bay with a bit of wire. That was still a two cuppa job!
    One question:
Do ppl cut a notch in the battery-compartment lid to accommodate the positive lead coming in from the auxiliary?
