Funny... They dont know **** about protective Bar work around here....

Toyota Bars fold quicker than a Strippers G-String...

The Steel ones are marginally better than the alloys, but both crack over a few km's offroad...

Animal strikes - New bar, new front end... (Small ~3 footers dont hurt the steel barwork so much).

Tombie, small 3footer = $7K damage to the D2 with xrox. Body went over wing, but the impressive part is the head smacked the FYRLYT and it laid over abd wedged the head between it and the hoop, holding it there until released. Light moved back on it's mount but lens unaffected. So +eleventygazillion for FYRLYT's.

    Man that sucks

Dare I say it though - I've always said if you go where there are Roos.. Only a full bar will protect the vehicle...

XRox and Comp style bars will almost always end up costing money in the event of a strike...

In the case of a D2, now with the market value being where it is - it can almost be the complete economic write-off of the vehicle

Insured for $25,000 now! Changed insurers after this claim debacle, told to wait 2 months for an assessment. Had it done today, approved at $7800- (on 10K insured value, so that's $16,800 paid this year) plus any extras they find when apart.

New insurer $25,000 for vehicle with accessories, 1st buy back option until 15 years old (another 2 years) then salvage rights, all glass (turned out I had only windscreen), choice of repairer, recovery from roadside anywhere in country to home, off road damage coverage (just not recovery from off road so y'all need to drag it back to the road for me), and the kicker, $200- less than what I was paying.

    Sorry for the hijack.
