Thread: Genuine LR Bullbar for D4

Great to have more choice. I like the look of the LR option more than ARB's... It will be interesting to hear the cost.

According to Austral Landrover in Brisbane the price is $3722 plus fitting. seriously. I was told I could get $500 off that if I ordered now. It is not winch compatible - seems incredible but true.

Just think, when you bend it it's worth $1- per kilo.

Hmm, it does not quite work for me either, even before the price.

An ARB or OL bar will be on my Santa list before that one for sure.

There is an identical D4 in Helensburgh(our home town) with this bar on, right down to the model T side steps, looks just as fugly in person as it does in that pic.

What's unfortunate about this bar is, LR think that a bullbar is put on to make the car look tough or good, which this bar doesn't, but in a way a bullbar is supposed to be, BUT, it's more there for protection and until LR figure this out (Ring Toyota Australia fellas they know) they are going to continue to offer this rubbish, if you hit a rabbit with that thing on the car, it would be stuffed and be worth $20 afterwards.

Remember why and how ARB started, it was to have practical accessories to protect his series 1 Land Rover when touring the top end, not to pose around the city to look good.

Gotta love ARB shares - up 25% from when I bought them.

I like the bar. But at $3800 supply only its too pricey.
Its more expensive than a genuine Toymota one.
