For the Defender drivers, this is code for
Skinny Soy based drinks and Fanta Pants.

    Urban Dictionary: fanta pants

origin: Scottish (from gaelic 'farnter' meaning flame-haired) fanta pants refers to a true ginger minge,

Argh! ...so Defender owners think all of us Disco owners are 'ginger minges' ....

I went away with some friends June L/weekend and had a play on some reasonably steep inclines out of a creek. Now there was a 110 there with a rear locker and on one particular hill he took 2 attempts then said wow I feel like I'm cheating with a locker, I then had a go stopping half way up then continuing on up 1st go, My comment was I feel like I'm cheating driving this car Gotta love the D3.
Yes and by the way he is a chutney crotch Too so its not the Disco drivers

I agree Driving a D3/4 off road against other (common ) 4WD's is like cheating. They are that good even in standard trim for what is essentially a luxury vehicle.

Add in some goodies like 17's with muds, GOA rods/LLams, front bar, rock sliders and they become an excellent off roader, but retain the fact that they are still a luxury vehicle to drive on road even with the off road enhancing mods.

Most other 4WD's once you mod then become scary pigs to drive on road.

I bet the vast majority of even the hardest core Fender owners if they had a chance of driving a D3/4 fora week including some pretty serious off roading wouldn't want to hand them back once they found out how good late model Disco's are.
    Cheers,

I took one of the new ones from the "roadshow" when Sutton Motors had them in Alice a few months ago. I didn't want to hand it back either.
I wanted it to go with the Defender.!
Don't get me started on the massaging, cooled/heated seats and electric everything on the RR. My son asked how far I thought the swear words would carry after the Centres red dirt graced the pristine cream leather.
But if you could afford it the I guess you just ignored it.

It takes something like that to show all the lookers what is the best off road machine around

Those lookers with their Jap things couldn't believe their eyes.........

And the Puma is virtually stock, except for a 40mm lift and a set of KM2's.
After 15 years and many miles over all parts of Australia, thats the reason why I never recommend modifying them.Real men drive Defenders, latte sipping hairdressers drive those D things. Pat
