JC - which hose? The long intercooler exit-to-inlet manifold hose? Or all of them?

Don't get MAF and MAP confused, MAF ( Mass Air Flow)sensor is at the airbox.
MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor is the one in your photo.
Depending on what year your D3 is the earlier models can have their EGR valves blanked to stop the gunk fouling this sensor and dumping crap back into the inlet manifold etc.

Don't touch the MAF one - pretty well problem free that one.

Cheers Rich all good, I was getting annoyed as I am selling the car and did not want to pass on with a known issue , just to be safe I am getting the remap back to my original,
I have a potential buyer and I have been very straight with him about what's going on.. Which he appreciates.
I drove for 2 hours after cleaning trying to replicate special program's fault .....
    ALL GOOD
