Hi Just wondering if you had an update on your Duratrac's? I'm about to take the plunge and was wondering what your thoughts were now that its been a while.

    Cheers,

Depending on your usage requirements Justin it's worth also considering the Maxxis 980, which is currently the only LT tyre in 255/55/R19.

Here's a link to a long thread with plenty of feedback:

Had mine on for 10000 km now. Wearing slowly and very evenly. I don't notice the road noise. Ride is excellent. Very happy.

Fyi, I'm going to try the maxxis next. They are cheaper, look similar and have a higher load rating. Haven't yet heard what they are like to drive.

Had them on my D4 for about 25,000Km now... travelled a wide variety of terrain and been very happy with them. Wearing well, I'd certainly buy them again.

As Scott said, the Maxxis are a pretty popular choice too.

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most

2015 TDV6 D4.... the latest project... Llams, Traxide, Icom 455, Tuffant Kimberleys and Mofos.... so far.

Justin (Grentarc) has heard of an updated 255/55R19 Duratrac with Kevlar sidewalls. Tyresales.com.au list 2 versions of this tyre/size at vastly different prices. The original has a load & speed rating of 111 Q and the latest appears to have 111 S but I haven't yet been able to uncover any reference to Kevlar in this tyre. Maybe tomorrow Tyresales will respond to my inquiry as to the difference between the 2 versions.

    Thanks for the info!
I see Duratrac also has a 112Q now as well.

    Cheers
