Has anyone tried one? I'm wondering if one of these would help my Disco3 V8, it seems slow to respond which i learn t just today can be a common problem with fly by wire throttles. When its idling i can dab the throttle and get no response it only when you hold it it does something.

As a fellow v8 d3 owner what you've written doesn't sound right to me. In neutral mine revs quite responsively (but it knows it is in neutral so it only responds to clear inputs - squeeze not stab like other vehicles). What is the actual issue when driving (I've had my share of niggles so might be able to comment, possibly even helpfully haha) ?
No actual issue just reading the speal on how they make it more responsive esp in kick down overtaking and given how much they come alive after 3500rpm i thought it might wake up a bit earlier.
Yep, I get what you're saying. That's the kind of performance you get when you put (basically) a sports car motor into a very heavy 4wd ... but that said, mine is coming on pretty strong by 3000rpm and by 3500 is screaming its way very quickly to the redline. I would very rarely call it anything other than reasonably lively for such a big vehicle (mine is as quick as a Liberty GT 0-40 ... after 40 is a bit shattering ... but anyway ... ).
If it is excessively doughy and unresponsive, reset engine ECU adaptive learning and Transmission adaptive ECU learning. This will get it to forget bad learned habits and you'll get a bit of a responsiveness boost if this hasn't been done for a while. I recently changed plugs (140km, first plug change), cleaned throttle body and several sensors and new airfilter = quite an improvement (pretty standard servicing stuff but the intervals are very long on these vehicles).
I've had a passing interest in a bit better low down performance (who doesn't want more low down torque !?!)- google up LR3 & AJ-V8 tuning - but have never come across anything that seemed significant / value for money. Let us know if you try something out !
hmmmm never even thought of changing the plugsis it hard to do?
Easy job just take off the covers, each plug has its own coil so unscrew and then change out plug. They are ngk laser iridium plugs (exxy). I did all the things I mentioned at once (throttle body, filter, sensor clean, reset engine ecu) and it felt like I gained a lot of grunt (could be illusory but it made me happy). Not sure that plugs alone would be noticeable.
