						Hi all,
I have searched and read through numerous posts on tyres for the D4 and most deal with changeing the tyres to suit more offroad use.
I do pretty much zippo offroad driving - my D4 is a family move rand towing machine ( and I love it on both accounts).
My OE tyres ( GoodYear Wrangler HP 255/55 R19) are now worn to the point of replacement and I am looking for suitable tyres that will be durable enough considering that I frequently tow a 2 ton rig ( and therefore my tyres do wear down a tad quicker) but yet produce relatively little road noise.
I have spoken to tyre dealers and have reccommendations of Michellin lattitude tour HP, Yokohama Advan ST V 802, Pirell (several)i, Maxxis HP/M3, Toyo Open Country H/T, Khumo KL17 - too many choices and I would value any feedback from users who have used any of the abovementioned tyres.
Yokohama have a special deal on at the moment - "buy 3 get 1 free" which , all other factors being equal, would sway me int hat direction as I have previosuly been very happy with the performance and durability of Yoko on my Nissan Xtrail.
I imagine that I am not the only D4 driver facing this situation and I would value any comments.
Cheers,
Unhurry

I've been through a few sets of tyres (wrangler, gg at, scorpion zero) and have gone back to a set of wranglers recently (very very good price on a slightly used set). Happy enough with them for my use.
Hello unhurry,
My 09 D3 came with 19" alloys I have Cooper LTZ's fitted now and I'm very happy with them, they are wearing very well, great offroad and quiet on the bitumen. Hope this helps.

Thank you to all respondents: I am now considering the Hankook dynapro RH07 - never had 'kooks before but the reviews are compellign and our local Meredes dealership is installing them on all M classes so that is a vote of confidence.
Price given by local dealer si also $150 less (per tyre) than Goodyears.
I will let you know what I end up with and how they perform,
Thanks.
I've been happy with the Pirelli scorpion ATR's so far. Very quiet and look smart. I got them for primarily road use with the occasional off road use. They are quiet too.
I've had Coopers and they were good but a bit noisy and now have Pirelli ATR's.

Very happy with my Pirelli Scorpion Zeros. Better for me on the road and not terrible off. They are 18s though. Much better than the Goodyears.
I've done a bit over 2000kms so not much. Haven't given them a real hard time in the wet yet. I worked them over in the dry in the Adelaide hills a few weeks back. Very pleased but it was dry.
It's been very wet here this week but only normal driving. If I get a chance to flog them in the wet, I'll let you know.
