Thanks all I found the bleed point on top of the motor soon after.

When. I changed my fuel filter on my MY08 D3 no bleeding required.
Just run the pump in ignition position one a few times till you hear the sound change indicating fuel has made it up to the fuel filter and on.
Then start car.
Easy peasy.

My 2009 D3 was the same, Seriously easy.
It was harder removing the Undershield
