    E-diff on D4

Is the E-diff standard equip on the 2014 on D4? (Discovery lettering on the bonnet)
    2003 D2a Auto TD5 good Landy gone
2015 D4 probably the most amazing yet, why get a RR?

    I don't believe so.

If you jump on the Land Rover site and configure your owe build..it is still listed as a separate option - even on an HSE.

    Build your Discovery - Models

So pretty sure in Australia it is not standard on any model.

No it's not, it's an $1060.00 or thereabouts option on all models, I got it on my '14 model, the dealer reduced the cost to $700 with a bit of a haggle.

That is great value for a locker. If I order a build I would have not even hesitated. As mine was on the lot, it was spec'd without, which is a real shame. IMHO If I were LR I would add it to all models as standard and ad $500 to the RRP, which would cover it I can't imagine anyone objecting.

Agree, although there has been a far bit of discussion on the incremental benefits of the E-diff on the later D4's, with the improvements in TC. Besides, I bet a fair percentage of D4's unfortunately do not venture too far past Woolies/Coles car parks - hardly E-Diff territory ;-)

Hang on there I was at my local Woolies last week and almost needed to have a snorkel to get out of the car park a little later other people needed to be rescued from their stranded cars in the same street and nearby flooded basement car parks.

But no the e-diff didn't engage.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

If you intend towing a van,GET AN E Diff.
They have stronger axles and bearings, well worth it if you are ordering a D4

I was fortunate enough to get a HSE with the ediff optioned off the showroom floor!! Quite possibly will never use it but it's good to have.

I wanted the e-diff because my D2 regularly had TC chattering the rear brakes with reports of broken D2 diffs from excessive TC use and because the D3/4 e-diff is reported to be stronger than the open diff. My D4 is expected to be around for a long time so possible extra longevity of the diff was well worth the minimal cost on a vehicle that was ordered in the 1st batch window, prior to any Oz stock being available.

How can you tell if a D4 has an e-diff?
