Unfortunately we dont have that option in Australia as we are unable to turn our airbags off, i believe its mainly for the USA and so forth.

Thanks for the reply, when I start the car now this warning appears in yellow; "Passenger air-bag off". Have we inadvertently bumped something?

No, it's just the system check going through the motions. Nothing to worry about. I'm assuming it turns off though.

How come my 09 D3 has a switch to turn the passengers air bag off?
It is on the door side of the glove box.

My MY12 also had the key fitted and I was able to turn it off. LR blanked it at my first service when I queried it with them. Was a manufacturing error for our market.

In previous posts on this forum it was explained that we don't have the ability to switch it off as our ADRs specify baby capsules (and kids? - can't remember) are not to be placed in the front passenger seat. Airbags can damage younger children if deployed which is why you can turn them off overseas as they don't have the ADR restrictions that we have.
