    Front parking sensors

Hi all. Has any one fitted aftermarket front sensors to a D4? If so, what is involved? Will they operate in exactly the same way as original equipment sensors through the existing hardware of the vehicle or do you need separate wiring and buzzer/distance indicator? Given the damage I've done to my current car I think I have to admit my depth perception isn't what it used to be...

    Cheers
    Jonathan.

I know where you are coming from.
It pretty hard to judge the front end.I thought fitting an OL Bullbar would fix that.NOPE,you cant see that hanging off the front either!!!!!

Ah, but the excellent thing is, when you have a bar, you don't care what you hit.

I haven't fitted aftermarket front sensors myself, but I purchased my D4 with them already fitted. I have transferred them into an ARB winch bar (that I had to drill to do so).

They have a wireless sender unit under the bonnet that sends to a LED display/beeper unit that sits on the dash. They work well - with the strange exception that when there is a USB charger in the LHS power outlet in the dash they don't work at all.

It is a Felio Electronics PLC Active Sensor Part No 08-01-01-257-0, for what its worth.

Ha ha - well depends on what you hit. My wife managed to hit a tree with a reversing camera installed. We were lucky but goes to show nothing replaces paying attention. I'm hoping though that it is possible to wire front sensors into the existing hardware. Saves a bit of stuffing around.
