I've checked mine today, like most others it was in still clean. Has anyone found theirs to be different?
    Has replacing it achieved anything?

Hi Luke, mine was clean under the fibre filter (which unlike others have reported is actually a good solid fit and does not let dust pass down the side) both it and the foam filter were dirty with dust, I washed, dried and aired for a day prior to reinstalation.

For me this was a maintenance step. I'll also be replacing the desiccant and filter in the drier. Also a maintenance step. My D4 has traveled 153k kms so these are preventative measures, much like changing oil and filters regularly.

May not be strictly needed, but could also stop a problem before it occurs. I'd rather do this in the comfort of my driveway, than in the bush.

    Makes sense.
I've been getting air suspension fault (C1A20 - reservoir filling too slowly) so this was one of the steps i wanted to check above checking the airlines with soapy water but wasn't sure if anyone had had this step assist.
