    Hi Ean,
I've only topped up with Caltex red OAT coolant - no issues with compatibility with LR coolant.

    Hi Ean ,
All depending on how much crud comes out of the radiator when you drain it . If its the original orange colour your draining out and you are changing to a different brand [eg green ] , i would flush the radiator out so you don't mix the two. I have also Cat extended life coolant but i was advised not to use it . So i replaced the coolant with the original Tectaloy V- Plus Orange coolant .

The only places I've ever seen caltex/havoline is at Caltex servos. Any particular reason why you want this stuff? Or is it the recommended brand?

There is nothing special about the coolant - just good quality orange OAT long life coolant.

Well if it's that brand and you wanna pay the cash go to a caltex servo. Their not that bad I used to get a 1l bottle of oil once a week for the falcon I think it was like $13.
They have coolant but I can't remember if it's red green pink blue purple. The bigger the servo the better you will have options.
Like I said it's the only place I've seen it!

Ok hoping not to get shot to pieces here and not knowing much about these differing coolants I am trying to determine what coolant to get and what qty is required.

the D3 had a newish territoy 2.7 fitted about 40,000 km ago and had re-cored radiator fitted at same time. MR did the work and no idea what coolant is in it.

Probably due for a coolant change / flush.

So assuming I get the OEM Clatex Havoline OAT which of those do I get? Any what qty goes in??
