Thread: Extended roof rails

Don't have this style on my D4, but have three of the slim / aero Rola rails on the D2. Works very well except for when we had the Rhino "Bag" up there with camping gear inside it - needed to put a sheet of plywood in the bottom of the bag so that it sat across the two rear rails without sagging down.

They definitely look the goods though, and are very strong. I've had some pretty hefty loads of timber / steel up there over the years.

As per post below I bought the full length knock offs on ebay and have 2 Rhino Vortex bars on them. You can put the bars at pretty well any point along the rails. Mine are positioned for the roof pod.

I got my extended roof rails ans cross bars a place called aussieautoparts who operate out of an industrial park in Campbellfield VIC About $430 for both rails and cross bars. Hail from China but they fit well. Very happy with them
