    Cool

I've just completed a 1 drawer & fridge slide system for my D4 and the lot cost me about $300 for the plywood & carpet. I have a Sketchup file for anyone who wants to PM me as I can't upload that file type to this forum. I don't want to create a pdf of the plan as it far easier to rotate the Sketchup file around and show off the dimensions I want to see to use in the workshop. Some of the dimensions have to be changed to cater for different height/width fridges. I also do not use turn buckles to hold it down rather some wood clamps that lay flat on the floor but still bolt into the original tie down holes. Another good thing is the gap on the left side where the fridge is as it is a perfect fit for a Bunnings fold up plastic table. Sorry for the crappy photo but I've stored it in the roof of the garage and couldn't be fagged getting it down for the photo shoot.

I have installed my old Boab drawer system from the D2 into my D4. It is a good fit, and is secured using 4 turnbuckles to the luggage tie-downs.

I have a 40 litre Engel sitting on the top of the drawer system on a fridge slide - it is just the right height so that I can slide the fridge out the back of the vehicle without having to lower the bottom tailgate (fridge positioned on the driver's side of the vehicle).

With the plastic boxes (4 off) removed from the drawer, I can easily lift the unit in and out of the vehicle by myself, even with the fridge slide still installed (but fridge removed).

System works well for us. We like the ability to simply remove the plastic boxes from the drawer and take them where we want them for camping / packing / unpacking etc. When not using the plastic boxes, I have cut two plywood panels which slip into the base of the drawer frame where the boxes would normally sit, and I carry recovery gear, tool bag, compressor etc in there.
    Cheers .........

Been down here for a week now Andrew. Yes - bad bushfires in the north and west of the state - we could smell the smoke halfway across Bass Strait on the boat, and driving through it down to Hobart was like driving through thick fog in some places.

Flooding on the east coast today, and we've just copped a lot of rain where we are. Water tanks are now all full But I don't think that any of the rain fell where the worst fires are still burning.

Hope Lindsay's enjoying it up there - good experience for him.
    Cheers .........
