Southern's. Hmmmm may have to change plans and pick it up from the dealer. As you said it's all part of the buying experience, plus you can get things sorted immediately should something not be to your liking (not that I'm expecting this). I'll have the dark tint at delivery, then going to a third party to get paint and leather protection applied - the first planned mod if you could call it that?!

@Jafman - you should ask the dealership if you can get the corporate program - I got the feeling is not something that is negotiated as part of the purchase, rather it's simply available to those who work for a "corporate" business and can prove it with a payslip. It's worth a try.

Thanks for the info, I'm talking to the sales rep later so I'll give it a shot!

So out of curiosity does anyone know what a SE7 SDV6 would be in $$$

Are people opting for the TDV6 because of price?

Yes, from my perspective, the SDV6 is around $15k more, and while the engine is more powerful and there might be more features that come standard instead of as a cost option with a TDV6, it's just not really necessary. However, if price were not such a consideration, of course I'd go for the top spec disco!

I drove the tdv6 first and decided it has plenty of power for my needs. didn't want to tempt fate and drive the sdv6 as at roughly $80k, the tdv6 is already a big purchase!

My TDV6 was $80K drive away at the time,it had the full size screen, reverse cam, upgraded duke box, leather, mats, upgraded headlights/DRLs,all on road costs, extended warranty,1% lease finance(heaps cheaper than my salary sacrifice could do)
Yes I wanted a SE,was going to cost $10K more,I couldnt afford it.The deal I got was much better than the 6 speed HSE at 90000km for $60K I was looking at.The 3.0 TDV6 is strong, much better than my D2 TD5 that had all the performance mods done.

    7 seats
    Meridian sound system
    Bi-xenon headlamps
    Darkest legal tint
    Rear loadspace mat
    Rubber mats
    Tow bar
    Black & white slimline plates

How does that compare? We're not really experienced at buying cars, so it's possible we could have pushed for a better deal.
That price beats mine by a mile. Care to share what dealer you got it from?

Yes, it does seem like a pretty good price based on what others have been posting recently. I'm in Melbourne, so I'm not sure if that makes it a bit cheaper than Sydney - the dealer is Melbourne City Land Rover in Port Melbourne. We went in there having booked a test drive on a 2014 TDV6 ($72k), so when they tried to up sell us to a new model, we said it would have to be very close in options and price to that. Good luck!
