Driving Light Switch

Finally got around to installing Fyrlyt 9000 lights this weekend on to new ARB Bull Bar.
I mounted the switch on RHS of steering column.
I mounted 12-24 volt convertors on a 3mm aluminium plate, located behind bull bar, RHS, with relays and circuit breakers, (not shown in pics)
Picked up high beam wire behind LHS headlamp, Blue/Black.
If I decide to install a winch I will need to relocate, not likely anytime soon.
Interesting note, headlights won't come out fully with BB in place.

Install looks like you took some time - just some quick ones.

What C/S wire did you use? Looks a bit light on in the images.

One other issue is the orientation of the Relays.. they will fill up with water and fail (sometimes fused on)...

Your right, its not a quick job, with convertors especially.
Wire from battery to C/Bs is 6mm DC solar cable.
From relay to convertor & lights is cable supplied with lights.
Relays are installed with terminals facing down, all connections with heat shrink.

I was wondering if the headlights could be removed with the ARB Bar. I did not try it but it looked close. Thanks for that heads up.

Besides complete replacement, why would you want to?

You just never know.
It would make finding high Beam wire simpler for one.

6mm^2 will do the job nicely [emoji106][emoji6]

Sorry Ive been away and haven't responded to this, Ive disabled the front fog lamps. They don't come on at all now. I've located the additional relay under the front bull bar.

Thanks for replying.

Just keep in the back of your mind that it doesn't any longer meet roadworthy requirements with the Foglights non-functional.

Sorry for the revival of an old thread but another question.

Would it be difficult to rewire the light switch so you use one of the fog light switches for driving lights and the other fog light switch turns on both front and rear fog lamps.

Just using the switch as a switch, you would still run the wiring and use a relay for the driving lights.
