    D4 rear left compartment contents?

Hi All, new to owning a D4 and have found that i seem to be missing something from the rear left compartment in the luggage space. There is a foam mount and strap that holds something in place but not sure what it should be? I see on the right hand side there is the jack. Any help or pics appreciated.

    Cheers

Tow bar receiver. Is it on the car? Otherwise you might want to chase it up...

It's where the removable tow hitch goes when you're not using it.

Good luck putting it away if you ever need to! It's a tight fit and a bit like a Rubik's Cube - out of many possible permutations only 1 works.

Never been able to get mine back in the hole.
Lives in the garage with the associated hitch when not in use.
Have purchased a Mitch Hitch so OEM will be redundant -> eBay I suppose.

Yep... whoever designed it should be shot... all that space and somewhere to put just half a towbar! The other is supposed to rattle around in the back somewhere. I did find a neatish cubby hole just between the 2nd and 3rd row

The space under the folded 3rd row accessed behind the second row is a handy space for this and wine bottles. Pack with bubble wrap.
