Suddenly remembers he has 3/4 rack and asks:

Do you want that measurement for the front section of the full rack or is it the measurement for the rear 3/4 of the full rack covering the raised roof section that you are after?
    Cheers, Dale

I need to know the total height of the tray from the roof level, so that I can check if it's the same height or lower than my current bar arrangement. So your measurement will be fine, when you get a chance. Thanks.

The side measurement is 140mm and the centre of the vehicle is it 125mm - roof to top of external lip of the rack .

    Hope that is useful.

Fitted my Slimline II yesterday. No drilling holes, simply remove plastic caps in gutter and bolt straight to OEM mounting points. Instructions do say to trim the gutter strip where the rail feet mount, but I think this is related to earlier models where the strip is actually a piece of rubber section. Mine is thin metal with a thin rubber coating and almost clears the mounting stud anyway.
For something that comes flat packed and bolts together, these are very good quality and very strong once fixed in place. Under rack table is very good quality as well.
I really would have liked the Prospeed one as IMO it is the best looking rack available, but unfortunately the load length is not as long as the Front Runner. Wouldn't have fitted my RTT and spare on the Prospeed the way I want.

    Really happy with it.

    Couple of picks

    Cheers, Mungus.

Looks great Mungus - especially on that colour.

It does seem though that the new mounting system is not as low as what I have been told. I was told that the new system is much lower than the original FrontRunner mounting system that I have - so much so that you could not fit the camping table and it's slide-in rails under the rack if mounted on the new system. From your photos, your platform doesn't really look to be any lower than mine - and I gather that you have fitted the same table under the rack.
    Cheers .........

    Hi Mungus,

I am thinking of fitting the same rack to my D4 2015 but am concerned I won't fit at my work basement carpark which has a 2.1 meter clearance. Could I trouble you to measure the highest point of the rack to the ground level - in normal "road height". I know I will fit if I lower to access height, but I don't want to rely on this incase one day I'm in a hurry and forget to lower to access height. Your help would be appreciated - thanks

Ohh if you haven't seen my wheel holder or aerial mounts yet. For $10 you can get some 3.5mm steel zinc or galvanized plate from Bunnings, spray paint black, bolt down with M8 bolts and mount whatever you like. Save $60-$70 per bracket.
