When you've found it make sure your sitting down before you ring for a price..... and it only comes in 20ltr drums although that may vary between states.

Repco can supposedly get it for you as a special order. I've settled on using Penrite Enviro+ C4 which is C1 compatible and change it more regularly. I'm still paying $189 for 20L of that though.

Rang castrol and found out that they only sell to trade, so spoke to shell and they say most outlets dont stock Shell ultra professional AF 5W 30 and if i wanted some Blackwoods will get it in for you at $114/ 5lts Gulp! so will look at other alternatives
Who thought that getting engine oil would be so bl--dy hard?

This if what i ended up with too.
As recommended by LR mechanic in Perth.

C1/C4 oils are only required if a DPF is fitted, otherwise use A5/B5 in 5W30. I get 20L drums of Castrol Magnatec Professional A5 5W30 from the local Castrol distributor, being the local co-op who have it on their shop shelves. This oil is also B5.

if you have an Autopro near, they sell the Penrite Envoro + Fully Synthetic off the shelf and affordable. If you ask the staff, thye look it up and receommend teh correct oil so thers no mistake. Penrite also provide an engine warranty which made me feel better....but I've kepy all the reciepts!

I purchase my D4 Castrol engine oil in the 20l drum from my local BP depot.......they sure don't miss you with the price but I have never had a problem obtaining it.
