Another readily available A5/B5 oil (for those without a DPF) is Valvoline SynPower FE 5W30.

I usually grab it when on sale at Autobarn, Repco and Supercheap.

    Cheers Dec.
Not the right specs for D4.
Yes, difficult to get the right stuff (Castrol Professional A5 5-30W... no DPF ), tried Repco and Castrol replied as above ,trade only, ha.(was quoted $380/20l!!!
Eventual success with Maxi Parts in Bris. as they get all the stuff for trucks. I think their a national franchise, Just over $300/20l drum.

So of interest, the previous owner of mine got servicing done at Barbagallo's. They quote using Castro Magnatec Professional C3 5W/40 on recent invoices. Now I know how these systems work (related to the industry) which means all service content is prepopulated and default for service types, but it does make me wonder, are they actually using that spec oil, or is it that someone didn't know what to put into the coding for the services? I know most newer oil standards are backward compatible however given the sensitivity of the LR engines and dropping bearings, I've not risked it.

Well finally found out that Blackwoods Sydney pricing of $114/5lt pack was no longer valid as they could not supply the Shell ultra professional AF 5W30 in 5lt packs and going by the price i can understand why, but they said that they can supply it in 20 lt containers for $220 delivered. As this oil meets the Land Rover /Jag spec i will be using this in future.

I needed a slight top up a while ago so had to use this oil (about 250ml only), 5 litres $88 from Repco, but I stay with the CastrolA5 as this is what the dealer use so while under warranty they can do their service and Ill do mine in between.

Make sure you get a 5W30 A5B5 oil. Ford specification WSS-M2C913-C. This suits the non DPF engines.
There are many options available. Google 5W30 A5B5 oil.

One option and available in 5L or 20L and about $10.00 /L is Syntegra A5B5 5W30 | Prolube Lubricants
