fair question troglodyte (!) actually I would prefer that Sand Mode automatically disabled DCS. Kind of a no-brianer if you ask me. Don't mind it not putting the car into off-road height as I run rods and would always prefer to do this myself.

Sand mode sets DCS intervention to low (which should be disabled), HDC off, accelerator mapping changed to give fast response, auto starts in 2nd (or 3rd if in low range), launch control active (if fitted)

Good advice. After having been out 4wheeling with you last week Brian, I can attest that you have no more problems on sand. Let's just say that the D4 V8 goes VERY well in soft, boggy dunes!

Kudos to him for persisting but at that point he might as well start walking home. The suction on the body alone will screw him in any attempts to get out.

SUV Sinks Into NJ Beach as Man Tries to Photograph It by Ocean | NBC New York

He was photographing it when it got bogged, but had it rescued 'easily'... Why does that sound like he only just bought it and wanted some pics to post to facegram? Poor guy.

    Quote from article:

"Witnesses said the man insisted on driving the vehicle away after it was towed, even though its lights were flashing and its engine was making strange sounds."
