 Hi
I recently did my rotors and pads (2010 D4 SE 30.L).
I elected to go for the RDA discs as they were pretty cheap (priced OEM from UK and Perth, Pedders, etc). I can't comment on life, but I haven't noticed any difference between previous OEM discs and the RDA discs.
They look ok, don't appear to be wearing (although hard to tell after only a few months)... No problems.
These days, the discs seem to be a wearing part, just as much as the pads are. I've almost done 200k kms in my D4, and this is my second set of discs (so approx 90k-100k kms life).
I used Akebono's on the rear, based on good feedback (on this awesome site!) on performance, life and minimal dust. Not available for the 3.0L on the front, unfortunately.
I used Pedders Euro brand (can't remember their actual name), but they seemed to be similar technology/compound to the Akebono's.
Both sets of brakes appear to be great. Dust (so far) has been minimal on both sets (and definitely less on the Akebono's on the rear).
So far, so good...
Thanks.
Rob
