For comparison, the std wheels on my D4 have a 965kg load rating.
Nice spot, and a real issue. While it's incredibly unlikely in the event of an accident such things would ever be discovered (unless the cause was obviously attributed to a wheel failure due to load), it would still make the car un-roadworthy by the letter of the law.

A big thanks to everyone who has taken a genuine interest in these wheels and provided technical advice and support.

So Strop and I had both made purchases for these wheels have both gone back to BEARMACH with the information and in particular the photos from apom and info from LRD414.
The advertised wheels will not fit the 3ltr D4 as advertised and both Lawrence and I will be getting our refunds tonight and another AURLO member who is currently chatting on line will be advised that they will not fit.

So thanks to all who have given advice, to those who hoped it was true, just a reminder that when ordering overseas, do what I did and documented all discussions and ask specific questions regarding what you want and get it in writing.

I must admit that BEARMACH had come back quickly, they have called me 5 times over the weekend, were extremely apologetic and had not realised that the Australian D4 from 2010 had larger brakes.
If in any doubt give them the VIN so they can Topix you vehicle, which is how we found this.

    Thanks again guys..

While these wheels won't fit mine.... I'm definitely impressed by the professional and rapid response from Bearmach.

Thanks for at least trying Tony.

Good result but that's not accurate. All 3.0L engine vehicles have the larger brakes in the UK, North America and here, as well as the V8 engine vehicles.
So while their response now is good this never should have happened in the first place.
It amazes me that these companies (this isn't the first time something like this has happened) aren't very aware of this long standing and well known restriction.

    Cheers,

I use microcat daily and constantly find errors. Topix is the only accurate system. I can see how they made the mistake.... but good service in rectifying/ refunding and taking responsibility. Sadly lacking in this ' not my fault' world we live in. ..

Microcat doesn't actually say that they fit all models, just that they are a part number that is listed for D4s starting at vehicle 00001 (which is true, for the 2.7 and 4.0 vehicles in that VIN range)- the Microcat excuse is a cop out for 1. not knowing how Microcat lists parts in relation to VIN range/model, and 2. not knowing the very well documented issue with the 3.0/5.0 brakes and blindly following their misguided translation of Microcat.

Microcat is misleading in not noting that they do not fit the 3.0. In other areas, such as the MY11/12 L322, in some instances there are notations on rim descriptions as to what brakes they will fit over but amongst them are rims from earlier models that do not have the qualification. The D4 rim in question was a D3 rim for which there were no restrictions at the time but the description was left unqualified when included in the D4 section.

Bearmach have refunded my payment in full overnight and will take care of all shipping cost. I suspect that Lawrence has his money too.

While I understand that this should not happen, it did and while we know this should not happen, we must remember that the order takers in the UK would not necessarily have this sort of request on a daily basis and deal with basic LR parts day in and day out. I also suspect that they may not all be LR owners or even enthusiast.

Justinc and Graeme have said, the system, Microcat that can be confusing, they use it and I see no reason to doubt what they say. I make mistakes now and then, I try not to make them.

As far as I am concerned BEARMACH admitted it was their fault, took ownership of the problem and made retribution in a very reasonable time which is highly unusual.

Although these are not my words I quote:
