Forgot my question, any tips for routing the cable thru the firewall and into the cabin ?
Because I'm a gluten for punishment I decided to fit my UHF and antenna , made a bracket that fits near the end of the bonnet and plan to route cable into passenger side.
Remote head fits nicely between the power sockets and main unit will probably go under the driver seat.

Found an unused grommet just above the steering shaft that just need a hole in it to push the cable thru, ran the cable across from the passenger side into the cabin then tucked under the center console.
Bloody cable up about 10 - 15cm short :-( , plan be is behind lower dash. Notice my mic cable had started to frey so opened it up wires broken that can't be soldered , replacement cable is only $30 or $45 for s complete mic.

Just did this and nearly came up short. Relocate your aerial to drivers side perhaps. Doubt you’ll see it due to the a pillar. Should give you a metre of cable.
