    Congrats, I bought an 2006 LR3 (US) HSE in October and ran into the same issues on fuel economy (11-12 MPG) Change your spark plugs, it made a such a big change in performance and fuel economy back up to 15-19 range after warmup. The new plugs also get the engine up to temperature quicker. You may also want to consider doing a transmission fluid/filter change, it really smooths out the shifting.

    His is a tdv6 so no plugs to worry about, also at around 11ltrs per 100klm it's pretty good for a big heavy brick on wheels.

    Ah the difference between USMPG and L/100km

    11 USMPG is about 21 L/100km

    Well, just got back today from our first big road trip in the D3, having done about 2200km to Sydney and back from the Sunny Coast.

    It performed beautifully, and a big improvement over the TD5 Disco 2, except for the lack of steering wheel controls for the stereo, and I can cope with that.

    Will be going to bed with a smile on my face tonight

    Oh, forgot to add, got about 12L/100km on the highway. Pretty happy with that.
