I link mine to the phone or ipad. I have never used the steering controls. You can then email the faults so you have a record of them.

    Air suspension and IIDTool

Just to state the obvious, if your compressor is broken or the air bag punctured, you are going to be in trouble, Green Oval sell a kit to manually pump up the bags.

i bought the tool through. Britpart at what sounds like an almost 100% markup to the Canadian online shop price.

i bought the tool as backup for an outback trip, mainly to be able to have more control over the air suspension. It also saved us a lot of heartache on a recent off-road trip by enabling us to release the locked handbrake without having to resort to a manual release.

Have also used it for the replacement of a suspect transfer case ecu with to install a second hand ecu. The alternative was to buy a new one and have a dealer do it, otherwise you have no warranty. The ecu was not faulty but saved a lot using a second hand one.

i have found their support excellent, but you should check for updates from time to time.

I didn't know the GAP tool could do this? Could you point me in the right direction in the manual please?

Hi Rocket, it is not an explicit function as such. What I did was to use the tool to clear the fault and that gave me enough time to release the PB, otherwise the fault would have returned. Once released, the fault will only return once the PB is reactivated. Luckily the fault did not occur in HR so we were able to drive home without a problem. As the fault disappeared in HR, I originally thought that the problem had been caused by stone or similar being lodged in the mechanism.

Assuming that the problem is one of adjustment rather than a real fault, it is very easy to adjust the PB by getting each of the rear wheels in turn into the position where you can see the access hole into the PB and then use a flat head screw drive to tighten the PB up by flicking the adjuster. Sorry I do not have the link to say AULRO or the UK D3/D4 site that covers this topic in more detail.

You may have bought the IID Tool not the newer IIDtool BT ( Blue tooth) When I purchased my BT version which is the lastest I paid about $600. Canada told me that they did not sell direct at the time and I had to go through a reseller.
Britpart lost the reseller status on the BT versions and only the old superseded versions were still being flogged by them I believe at a cheaper price.

No, I got the BT version back in 2015 for a price, from memory of A$1,100.
