Umm,over the years they seem to have done pretty well flat out on a racing circuit just outside Bathurst.
Even in the days when they were actually Holdens, not the things they race these days.
So a slow jaunt to SA would be a walk in the park
While on the subject, there is a 202 red motor, yella Terra head on gumtree for $500.Condition unknown.
These old holden engines are going to be worth a few $$ as time goes on.
I remember the days when there would be heaps of them at the dump.
Now days they are getting hard to find anywhere.
I had a limit edition HJ 2 door monaro with a mod'ed 308 .... it was my first car at 17 .... LOL.
It would be worth a pretty penny now. Some ***** flogged it though.... :-(
It was followed up by a pristine HR .... 161 high compression engine that used to run sweet.
Problem was ... 3 on the tree ... no sync between first and second ... going round roundabouts was a feat of driving since 1st was too low and second was too high.
No rear demist .... can't remember if it had a heater. AM only radio. Bench seats …. no middle seatbelt in the front though, which was a PITA.
The best part was the 4 wheel drum brakes that would lock up in any given combination, without warning......awesome in the wet LOL!!!
