I’m confused, you buy a Range Rover and want to disable the parking sensors?!

FWIW I had 2 sensors fail not that long after getting my Rangie and wondered if they would be a pain as well. But I changed them both for $25 ebay sensors for about 1-2 hours effort each (1 front 1 back) and 3 or so years later they have been flawless.

My vote is buy new sensors and enjoy the feature.

A mate of mine had working parking sensors AND a reversing camera and still managed to back into a pole and crack the rear bumper and reflector.

I really really want to turn the parking sensors horrid noise right OFF! I can't stand it and find it un-necessary if watching the camera and mirrors when parking. Worst part is when sitting at lights when the damn thing keeps sounding off if you've put the box in neutral as apparently it's recommended to not sit with the vehicle in drive for long times. And we suffer from many long waits at lights in WA ..... not known as "wait awhile" for nothing.
Stealer says turn the radio right down........ but what if I want to listen to the news?
So how do I turn the noise off using a GAP tool?
    AlanH.

PS. This horrid noise is as worthless to me as all the crap so many cars have these days.... lane wandering, cars passing behind, getting too close etc. etc. When I need them I'll give up driving.

hmm - they should only sound when you go into reverse - not neutral. If they are sounding when you go from drive to neutral you have an issue.
