While this is not something for the faint-hearted, the benefit was astronomical. My downshifts coming to a stop were really harsh, now they’re unnoticeable. Upshifts are generally soft to unnoticed. This has to be one of the most impactful services I’ve done.
Do it (though seek advice first for some tips!!!!)

Nothing really happened to Alaska today except she got icy this morning sitting in the driveway, but I thought I’d show what my wife came up with on her embroidery machine yesterday. I think she’s a keeper!

Mine went to its new home over the weekend. Back to a boring family car. Ive substituted the D3 with a mountain bike for my bush adventures.

Well done DJ, told you it would make a huge difference! Im glad you persevered and got in there and got it done. I assume the seals from the valve body to the transmission would have been pushed in flush, and that mechatronic seal is a real PITA.
Enjoy. 40,000km since i did mine and no complaints.
