Mine was in all respects very healthy in regards to the seals. They still protruded and weren’t brittle. And yes, I lost so much time trying to get the mechatronic seal in and aligned, then the plug back on etc. This is all so much harder on your back under the car constantly peering up.

Had the gearbox steel pan and oil change done on my 05 LR3.
The previous owners had neglected it and it was starting to get a bit clunky around town.
Now nice and smooth! I had the timing belt done last year so hopefully smooth sailing for the next 7 years... right? [bighmmm]

Had my transmission oil changed and timing belt on my 15 MY16 D4. Transfer case and both diffs oil still good 👍. 102K’s, next is front forward control arms. [bighmmm]

Don't do the whole arm.. Just do the rear bush. It's really so easy these days with the tools available

Do you have the puller kit to swap them?

Friday:

Dump run (or being politically correct - a trip to the transfer station) then on to the council office to change postal address for the imminent rates notice.
Then loaded up rear of D3 with 160kg second hand clothes for an Aboriginal community and a trailer load for Perth. Delivered community load to Frances Bay to barge company and then Perth load to the removal company who take them FOC.

After lunch I installed the new Uniden UH5060 under the dash. The TX3100 that was in the vehicle when we purchased it was mounted on the under dash cover and in close proximity to driver's left knee. During the trip to Kakadu a month ago the bracket disintegrated and the mic cable insulation had been perishing since we bought it. Hence I managed to sweet talk the purchase of the new remote unit rather than buying a new bracket and mic. [bigwhistle]

I'm still old school, in the press, I'm thinking about borrowing the Central coast "free borrow" tool and getting a machine shop to copy the anchor.. The rest is easy enough to acquire. Most of it is probably in my tool box.

Trip to Karijini and the terrible corrugated roads took it's toll! This happened 60km from home late last night. And I was worried about the amount of cattle on the road! Goodness! Hard to tell, but did the wheel studs shear off?
