I wonder what I would find if I lift the body off….[emoji848]
If only I had a hoist as that would be a nice lockdown job.

I had an interesting little fault leaving from work yesterday, started up, radio was playing, nav screen was displaying correctly then I lost audio and the display however the radio display or CD display still worked and operation of volume via the steering wheel controls. I could also still change stations, or change CD tracks or push the button to select a different CD. Just no NAV display and nil audio.
Pulled over, ran codes on the IID and nothing pertaining to it so drive home.
At home I pull the dash fuses 57 & 43. 57 was a PITFA to get at and I dropped it down into the black hole never to be seen again, luckily I had a spare 10A fuse.
Both fuses were serviceable.
Started up and it worked again!! I had audio and NAV display again. I can only assume it needed a reset or one of the fuses needed to be re-inserted to make good contact.
After 14 years one has to expect some corrosion to have developed on contacts.
possibly, I did not get that far into chasing it down as it came good again. If it goes again then yes quite possibly failing relay.
After anticipating rolling past 250k for a year I missed the major milestone.
Congratulations Teddy Veesux, job well done.
Looking forward to the next 250k.
Next jobs I have parts piling up for;

3rd gearbox oil change
Suspension air struts
Front and rear valve block service ( middle and compressor recently done)
Timing, fuel and accessory belt change

Because I’m not sleeping in the back any more, I thought I would whip up a bit of rear storage.Attachment 173346Attachment 173347Attachment 173348
Also, stole this idea from drifta drawers.
Still impressed with how cold the a/c is now that I got it leak tested and topped up during it's service, cold enough to make my hand ache the other day with the vent directed at it.
Ran power cable down the passenger side trim and about to attempt to feed it up thru the grommet, can i get to it without removing anything apart from the battery ?
