My name is Land Lover and why be normal. I think let’s mess with people and choose 18mm as the size - not 19mm or 17mm like most toolsets include. Nope, we’re special. 24mm? Nope. We’re going 22mm for this one. Why change between arms??? Well why not? Keep them on their toes.

Whoever designed that is having a laugh with the designer of the body mounts and putting them right next to the arm mount bolts just for s%#ta and giggles...can't be as bad as BMW motorcycles had to take the whole fairing off just to get 4 bolts out to remove a top shock mount 20220307_181128.jpg20220307_181142.jpg

Inadequate room for a 24mm ring spanner whereas 22mm fits easily. I had bought new bolts that weren't needed until I spotted the smaller heads.

All my sets have the 18mm and 22mm is close enough to 7/8” to not be too fussed.

Designed around body off... but I’m hearing you as battled that job recently myself

I changed the radiator last weekend and cleaned out the I/Cooler , had big plans to change as many hoses as I could as I have a hose set with thermostat.. well of all the jobs I have had to do on the D3 whoever designed that octopus of a hose set up needs the rough end of a pineapple shoved where it shouldn’t go... oh and the thermostat got changed from 6 Outlet to 7 outlet at some stage... my fault as I didn’t read it properly when I ordered the set.

Annoying as I have a new radiator, almost all new hoses, new coolant and the old thermostat. I must say I was surprised at how good condition the old hoses were in for 14 yrs old

    Hi Loanrangie,
Very nice job with your tailgate lamps. Well done.
Could you please tell me what the make and the supplier is, of the 9w LEDs?
    Thank you,

07 the thermostat changed I think.

It’s a spaghetti but access is great with fan and shroud removed and from underneath. I’ll say again but one of those hose clamp tools with extension makes it child’s play.

The thermostat on Jaguar and other TDV6 versions is actually in the valley in that black plastic block so it’s a LR hack for the thermostat location.

There’s plastic C clamps on the bottom of the fan shroud that hold the hoses in some coherent pattern.

How does one clean the IC? Bit of petrol sluiced in there if you can remove it?

Rear upper arms replaced with Meyle HD, new rear discs, Akebono pads and new fluid in progress.
The forward bushes of the rear arms were broken but not completely separated. Rear bushes were perfect.

Quite like the captive nut approach avoiding the need to hold both sides.

Yes a very interesting jigsaw puzzle the hoses on the back of the bottom radiator shroud.
The inter cooler sits on the cross member and has plastic pins that fix it to the bottom corners of the radiator, these need to be removed to seperate the radiator for removal, then the inter cooler just lifts out.

I cleaned it with metho then kerosene, I didn’t want to use degreaser as then you introduce water to wash it out.
At a guess I tipped about 300mls of oil oil before I started the clean , maybe a bit more. Certainly explains why I had oil drips at the bottom of each inter cooler hose.

I just blew out with some nitrogen only because I had it as it contains no moisture like an air compressor in the tropics, the left standing over night.

I must say it’s the first time I have seen the fuel usage figure back in the 10s for a while but need to put a few more kms on it for the real truth if it’s improved the economy.

    Cheers Bulletman
