I replaced the actuator for the LHF door.
The exercise was interspersed with a trip to Repco for a torx bar to fit in the hole to undo the lock barrel, lunch and removing the window regulator a second and then a third time to get the cable back in place having dislodged one of the window clips trying to get the regulator out initially.
End of day and job done with window working correctly and lock locking correctly by all three methods. Overall a win.
Cheers, Dale

Replaced the broken rear drivers side light cluster with a 2nd hand one from a fellow forumite. Glad I did so. I drained about 50ml off water out of the old one that I didn’t know was there (couldn’t see it)

The spotlight and UHF antenna mount arrived today. Yes I know it’s a bull bar but I live in metro and don’t drive at night very much. I got it from a guy on gumtree and really couldn’t justify $3k for an ARB bar. Going to get it powder coated before fitting. I can’t decide between Matt black and gloss white.
Thoughts?
Also, should I get 2 pieces of aluminium welded onto it to mount the UHF and sand flags before powder coating, or use clamp on ones? I know this bar suits quite close but I don’t know anyone with one so I can have a look in person. Is there room for a 2-3” piece of aluminium behind with the top of the risers or behind the tube that’s above the lights?
Actually... what are these rivnuts for?

Clamp on - welded will fatigue and eventually snap.
Good point about reflection, I hadn’t thought of that. I think I’m leaning towards stainless clamps actually.
It’s not the strongest bar in the world, but it’s strong enough for my needs. Again, at $1k with freight, I couldn’t justify spending another some $2k for ARB. $2k buys me a discrete winch mount and winch.

Go to Adelaide powder coaters. You may be able to go for Black lower Blade and Colour codes upper section.
Their work is top notch.
Hi John, no matter what colour you paint it, make sure it is a gloss finish.
Matt finish actually causes glare.
You can test this by wetting your bonnet, throw some dust or dirt on it and let it dry in place.
Then go for a night drive, particularly where there are street lights and you will very quickly see the problems a matt finish will cause.
