RHS Manifold went at 160,000km. Today it went again at 321,000km. A loud exhaling sound heard under boost and telltale P006A error.

The 3.0s need a change manifold light that comes on like the old LCs had a Timing Belt light when the change was due. Just goes to show they must hammer the air in with those twin turbos to make all that sweet hp.

Surely in this modern age and 3 printers, someone can print up a set in Carbon Fibre, or create a CF overlay? Even printing an oversized set of manifolds to make a mould and die cast a set out of alloy is not outside the realm of possibilities.Quote:

Got in a bit closer today and the split is enormous. Nearly 2 inches long. You can hear it when you accelerate, this wooshing sound lol. Booked in for two weeks time. Sadly I think my camping trip next weekend will have to be abandoned.
Questions right out of left field.
Is there a product that could be used to wrap the manifolds with to increase their structural strength? Is space a premium and does such a product exist that is compatible with the operating environment?
Do you know if that replacement manifold was "genuine LR" and not a thinnner aftermarket job?Quote:
