Once it was cleaned out with the official tool (alright, a couple of dodgy screwdrivers poked into the gaps) all was good. I was wondering whether to do away with the plastic cover and/or to drill more holes in the ProSpeed guard. Didn't think about chamfering, but it is a good idea.
On the other hand, now I know what the issue is, cleaning it all out periodically is not really an issue. And do I want holes in the guard to allow water in during river crossings here in the Vic "Alps"?
Dunno. Mind you, I don't expect the EAS system to last beyond ten years anyway, so will replace the compressor (and almost certainly the air bags/shockers) before the next Simpson crossing later this year.
