I don't think they have them fully sorted, seems they are still failing on the latest Rangers at lowish Ks.

They are flimsy design still, using spokes at the front edge rather than full face.

One has to wonder about some manufacturers, that engine(V6) is over 20yrs old, same issues....
Add to that the wonderful wet belt set up,by the same manufacturer, that is causing huge issues(in different engines) in the US and UK,with 100s of 1,000s of engines needing to be replaced.

Have a look at these guys,in the UK,they do hundreds of LR engine change overs, and other work on LR engines.

I have seen a few threads on cam sprocket replacements as well.
    Could be some useful info.

    2013 Disco 4 se

What has not happen today. Only had the car 4 months. Bought it on a Saturday .. 25k .. After reading what could go wrong around the 160k mark I sent it to Rover tech to check it over and replace anything that is common to fail . 11k later and 19000km and this is where the car is at.
Using a launch x431 scanner this is the latest scan result
    P0087-00 Fuel rail/system pressure-too low ..... Intermitted
    P0087-21 Fuel rail/system pressure - too low ..... Intermitted
    P0105-17 Manifold absolute pressure/barometric ..... Intermitted
P004C-12 Turbo charger boost control soleniod B - circuit low .... Historic
I go to overtake or go up a hill and it kicks back and basically goes into shut down mode. No limp mode . Absolutely dangerous especially trying to over take a slow moving road train. Car is parked up where it belongs.. Not game enough to do the 250km trip back to Rover tech to get them to give a report on it.
    25k to buy
    11k on preventive measures
    2k on tyres
I replaced the fuel filter and just waiting on a new intank fuel pump .
    less than 20000km travelled.
I loved my Disco 1 . Petrol 3.9 duel fuel but this Disco 4 has killed my love for the brand. Money pit that land rover should be held accountable for.

2.7L engine? Likely the high pressure fuel pump. Extremely common.
