given it's a smart alternator, the ECU may (or may not) throw a code if it doesnt see the correct amps

my 2008 RRS has hit 206,000km
last 24months spent 15k on repairss, cooling and turbo. is it time to sell?
it's not the "engine" im worried about, its everything else breaking im worried about.
i also have 3 cars and wouldnt replace it as i cant afford it.

Noticed it has been taking a bit longer to warm up.
Sitting at the lights today the oil temp was at 71 and the coolant at 68. By the time I'd left the intersection it was down to 64 so I'm wondering if the thermostat is stuck open. I've never seen the oil temp above the coolant temp until they were both > 90 and the thing was working hard. It always lags coolant temp on warm up.
Can't really stump up a grand for the whole octopus hose assembly, so might need to see if I can just get the thermostat.
