Yes they do,but higher antenna the better.They are also convenient as any phone will work with them,saves swapping phones around.
Although,out at the property,which is on the very edge of Telstra tower range,my Telstra phone with antenna actually plugged into phone,and antenna on roof rail works better.
We have tested them side by side.
Yes they do, however attention to the placement of aerials is critical.

I fitted an RFI CDQ7195 uhf style external aerial. it’s middle of the range in terms of its relative gain so works well in both hilly or flat country. I believe they are pretty highly regarded in the mining and other industries where rough gravel roads and consequent vibrations can take their toll on cheaper aerials. We travel outback quite a bit so wanted that reassurance.
be aware that a CelFi Go will not work if there is NO mobile signal, there must be a weak signal for it to operate. I find that one weak dot of 3G signal can go to 3 or 4 (of 4 possible dots) of 3G and sometime a couple of dots of 4G. I usually leave it on the “automatic” Switch setting.
