I’m guessing it’s the Lensunsolar model judging my the vinyl under the panel? I’m super keen to hear your review as I’m thinking of doing the same. I’ve heard mixed messages about panels not being as effective off on the bonnet due to heat, but the D4 bonnet is fairly well protected from the engine heat.

Bent a wheel and destroyed a tyre. Oddly enough the wheel with the lunched tyre is fine and the tyre on the bent wheel is fine.
Can anyone recommend someone north of the river in Perth who could straighten a 19" D3 alloy?

Keep an eye on gumtree, you see them come up quite a bit
Good idea. I've not seen a lot of the 19" 7 spoke alloys, but I see there's a set for sale in the ACT at the moment, so they're not unicorns.
I'm now also thinking about picking up a set of 18s to put ATs on for the couple of times a year we come away. These tyres have done 30k on road and ~0.5k off.
We've done hundreds of ks since we've been away without issue. This was a case of me getting pressured from behind and a bit cocky. Too fast for the conditions/pressures.
That sidewall failure is why I went with tyre pressure monitors that have temp in them. If you have the small brakes definately grab a set of cheap 18's.
My 20" wheels have been abused mainly by the wife, a set in pristine condition came up for 600 bucks.. But was 1000ks away.. The quote to fix one wheel here was $300 for gutter rash without a dent.
A stop off on the way to work at DLR and the diagnosis is a cracked fitting on the injector return line cause a smelly fuel leak. Part ordered and will replace as soon as it arrives. Then after work an unwillingness to start was confirmed as a failed auxiliary battery. Now for the third issue to appear...![]()
