    Went for yet another drive!

This time a run to Yunta for the Yunta Rifle Club OPM.
Hybrid van one the back was an easy tow.

Freezing conditions and blowing its guts out all weekend made things interesting on the range.

My lacklustre perform didn’t help either!

But the trip was good, the company excellent and the vehicle faultless.

The new stereo made travel much more enjoyable.

Vehicle rolled through 180,000km on the return journey.

Removed all the failed login puddle lights and fitted the originals back in with led bulbs, on inspecting the failed lights I can see that the lens with the logo is just in a slide out holder so theoretically you just replace the little filter to repair them.

I finally reached sufficient frustration level with what I think is the result of the previous owner's wife having lots of clunky jewellery on her hand - the driver's door had a number of chips and scratches just at eye height. It was driving me mad trying to think what had caused it...I only worked it out when my wedding ring 'chinked' at exactly the same location one day...

In progress - dremelled back to clean metal, phosphated, and then filled:

Cut back to 2000 grit wet or dry, window and surrounding paint masked off:

End result: its not perfect if you know where to look, but it's a damn sight better, and I'm happy:

Yours must be a gansta custom mobile with removed door handles. Don't know what else you'd use the door handles for. I've the same on mine, but not as bad, just scuffing I guess.

The oil cooler let go on the weekend so have to get it sorted out!

I thought I had access to JLR TOPIx to get some workshop manuals but it cant log me in now?

Registering a different email gets me this:

Thank you for registering for access to TOPIx. In order to proceed with your application, please provide the following documentation in PDF format to JLRATECH@jaguarlandrover.com:

    1. National Police Check Certificate obtained in the last 2 years
    2. Training Evidence that demonstrates competency in safely depowering, isolating and re-initialising a high voltage battery installed in a scheme vehicle & that is provided by a scheme RTO or provided by, or on behalf of, a manufacturer of one of those systems or a scheme vehicle in which one of those systems is installed.

If you would like to know more information regarding the Motor Vehicle Service and Repair Information Sharing Scheme please visit Motor vehicle service and repair information sharing scheme - scheme rules | Treasury.gov.au.

Is this JLR getting prodded for right to repair!?

Calibrated the Air Suspension and Re-gassed the Tailgate Struts.

Airing up in a different way. The tailgate gas struts were starting to droop a bit, possibly due to the extra weight of the Frontrunner ladder... easily remedied after a quick visit by the StrutsRegassed4U guy, they are back to their best. Also ran the GAP IID Tool Air Suspension Calibration program... all good.

    Cheers

Hah! Learned something new. I'd been hitting the right hand steering wheel switch to call up the phone, but was going into the centre dash screen to scroll down to the required number to select and dial. Accidentally hit the 'track advance' button on the left hand wheel switch, and lo and behold, it works as a scroll up/down through the call list when in phone mode... Nothing earth-shattering, but one of those little things that keeps reminding me how well sorted this vehicle is. May help someone else.
