I would have thought that the fuel filter would filter out whatever guk is at the bottom of the tank anyway. Is that right?

						Super ModeratorI've never understood this. Every vehicle I've ever had anything to do with had the pickup at the base of the tank. The whole "don't run it low because you'll pick up grunge" has never made sense to me. The only thing I could think of was a bit of shallow slop knocking stuff loose if you run it too low, but then you're implying the tank lets stuff settle and sit undisturbed.

						Lucky outcome which could have been fatal, pulled the engine cover on my TDV6 to find the top radiator hose somewhat compromised. The protective sock to protect the hose from chaffing by the engine cover had been displaced. Think it might be beneficial to modify the cover to provide additional clearance.
New wheels…..
Now the Simmons are headed for the RRS.
