I'll tackle the other side tomorrow.

While I was there, I found the tell tail for a coolant leak. I've been needing to put about 200ml in every month or so.

    Nice work..

Change that component *now*. They can fail spectacularly and will toast your engine.

LCAs letting me know they want to be changed but only about 80-90k kms on the Meyle HD new arms I fitted last time. No different to stock is this what everyone else is seeing?

It could be something else if top arms are now stuffed but I doubt it.

New battery today. Yesterday I thought "gee that sounds a bit slow cranking", but it got me where I needed to go and back several times.

This morning "rrrr click click click".

Put it on the carbon pile and got 50A out of it before it collapsed to 4V.

So that's 50.5 months from new. Thankfully I bought one on sale a month or so ago and it has been sitting in the garage being torture tested.

It’s been weird in Perth having the car pause for the glow plugs this week

3 mornings this week the fuel burning heater came on by itself (<6C). Don't remember it being this consistently cold for a few years.

Used the D4 as an anchor point to pull the metal brackets out of the floating shelf for a friend the other day. Some numpty burred up the ends of the pipe so they wouldn’t pull out without some LR persuasion. See on top of the wheelie bin for a better explanation

Weekend job will be to install new power steering reservoir and new fluid. Fiddly job. Think the fluid is original!

Need to order that coolant housing for the side of the engine too.

Itech 120x has arrived. Won’t fit without a few changes, so as per another member I’ll be cutting the box lid, and plastic welding an extension to the cover over it.

That’s tomorrow's job, see how I go for time.

Nothing happened to our D4 but I recently installed new batteries, dual and starting. 2 new tyres on the front and she'll be ready for sale. Possibly a final service with the indie to make sure everything is right.
