Have the codes checked just in case it's not worn-out stator bushes causing insufficient oil pressure to lock the E clutch soon enough, as happended to my D4.

Had a squiz at the boots today to find both passenger side seriously scrubbed on the outer edges, so much so on the rear is showing canvas! Ordered a set of Scorpion ATRs and should get them fitted tomorrow.

Obviously in desperate need of a wheel alignment, and I need to check more often. Last service it was fine.

yeah I need to plug the gap tool in and do that.

I've noticed it is getting worse and more frequent with fluctuations in RPM cruising on highway at 100km/h. Can actually feel surging now. Tells me TC issue.

Well, new boots all round and a wheel alignment. Turns out the mechanic at my local Tyrepower is a pom and knows how to align a vehicle with EAS. Concerning that he asked how long ago it was previously aligned because "almost every bolt was seized". Still, it wasn't far out but the toe on the passenger rear was out, which might help explain the wrecked tyre.

I might add an alignment to my yearly service. $80 a year is cheaper than new boots by a _long_ way.

Finally wrecked a lug nut when the cap jammed, so an order placed for a full set of Tuffant nuts. Snapped the factory wheel brace trying to get the nut undone, so need to come up with a replacement for that also.

I’ve always just used a 600mm breaker bar with an impact socket. Once loose they spin off quickly.

    Yep!

Although, excessive wear on LHR is also a product of heavy vehicle and roundabouts in urban environments.

Lot of force going into the LHR when cornering.

Just after I broke my wheel brace, we shattered an impact socket on the end of a breaker bar.

Funny part was the first three tyres came off fine. When asked who last touched that wheel I pointed out they did a puncture repair for me on that wheel a year ago. The others had been done up with a torque wrench, and normally after having work done I loosen and re-torque the nuts when I get home but didn't this time.

Yes, I usually carry a 600mm breaker and 1/2" torque wrench. As is typical when I need something, the breaker bar wasn't in the car. I won't bother to re-torque these until the new lug nuts arrive. It's due a service and EPB adjustment anyway.

I can understand that. This wasn't even tyre wear though, it looked more like someone had scraped the corner with a blade. The sort of wear you might see if it had terrible negative camber. Anyway, will keep an eye on things moving forward. I can't really complain, the last set of tyres did just under 60kk.

Tuffant were "out of stock" of their 4 pack and a 5 pack was marginally cheaper than 4 x single packs, so I'll have a spare set of nuts too.

I have that one with a 22mm nylon jacketed socket in the car. I should have pulled that out rather than the factory wheel brace. Live and learn.Attention Required! | Cloudflare

So read the codes relating to the transmission issue and as suspected all relating to not able to select gears.

    P0730 suggests TC to me
P0735 is not able to shift to 5th gear
P0729 incorrect shift to 6th gear
U04186-86 suggest cascading faults via the CANBUS
    codes transmission 21 3 24.jpg

Now I could spend about $800 doing filter, seals and a double flush and probably a couple of tubes of Dr tranny which may or may not help.

My thoughts are that I would be throwing away $800 for not real benefit. Thoughts???

My LR indie is investing options to send the box away for overhaul, probably down to ZF in Sydney though I have heard there is a large backlog of slots.
As I live 30km from town and need to drive 40km each way for work I have no option but to try and nurse it along, it is my only vehicle.

    Fun times
