If so, then may the wind be at your back, and the "restricted performance" message be forever a distant memory.
We'll probably still be here at Easter. A lot depends on how long it will take to sell the house. Current plans are to be on the boat to Tassie in June, so that means leaving here around late April / early May.
Always welcome for a coffee (or something colder) wherever we are. The house in Tassie is only about 1/2 hour drive from the Hobart airport & 1/2 hour into the city. We'll be right at the mouth of the Derwent River on the north side. The view from the front verandah is straight across the river to Bruny Island, so we get to see all the boats in & out of the river, and Sydney to Hobart yachts sail straight past the front of our place. Nice little beach below us for fishing too - and there's always plenty of fresh oysters on the rocks.
    Cheers .........

Well, the solar fit up has worked as expected.
Being only a 45w Victron panel, today it’s been pushing 2.23a into the main battery for most of the morning.

This will keep the main battery topped up as its only tasks are primary vehicle operations and Dash Cam power.

In the past, the dash cam would pull the battery down before its LVC would shut it down. At the current performance it will no longer have this issue. Even just a few amps a day should see the main battery remain fully charged

Tombie - Is this a/the solar panel on your bonnet or the one on the roofrack? I have a similar issue with my dash camera.

The small panel on the roof.

My dash cam does the same, so I have wired it to the aux. battery circuit.
    Cheers .........

Bonnet panel runs the aux / fridge

Roof panel keeps the primary system topped up.
My dash cam has a LVC wired in, so never completely flattened the battery - now though, the main is full today (and yesterday) - so far, so good

Coolant Flush after Oil Cooler Replacement

    Seasons Greetings All,
I replaced the oil cooler in 2012 D4 with 280,000 kms. Post #5720 above, using my Indy. He said it was “Generation 2” cooler which surprised him. Not original fit out in this MY. The gen 2 are larger and quite difficult to remove. The replacement is a Nissens.
I undertook the coolant system cleansing task myself.
as recommended by BradC (thank you Brad) I used Cummins Restore which is a high strength Potassium Hydroxide (strong alkali) and emulsifies the oil. It did an excellent job. I made two flushes with extensive rinsing between. Supply details are at post 5720.
I fitted a new coolant reservoir, as the old bottle was full of oil residue which proved impossible to wash clean.
merry Christmas and thank you for all the help this last year.
    Jeff
