Tried to change the trans fluid today in the 6HP28 today. Got the fluid changed (standard single drop process, about 5.5L dump) but good old Perth temps, the fluid was at 55C at fluid topping off. Going to try in the morning once it’s cooled to ensure it’s at the right level.
Also did the transfer case while I was there.
Found a bit of trans oil seepage. Found all the trans pan bolts were able to be nipped up a bit so hopefully that’s that.

Added an extra 750ml of trans fluid when topping up this morning. This was at 30-35deg fluid temp compared to 55deg. That’s a significant difference. You can see how some people might end up under filling them without the right knowledge.
Everything tested and runs wonderfully. Did NOT reset adaptations.

I found the same when using the thicker neoprene steel pan gasket. Had to re nip each pan bolt a few times.

Here is their video showing the surroundings. Poor buggers. If they had crossed a little to the left they would have made it.

Life is just a series of obstacles preventing you from taking a nap.
