    Mine's a (usually dirty) Ipanema Sand 2011 HSE with Prospeed rack, ladder and rock sliders; Safari snorkel; black Compo's; regular plates.

    Which Disco

    On the choice of Disco, I reckon the TD is just as good as an SD, from the motor perspective. Because IMO, the extra torque and kw of the SD just puts more strain on the gearbox, diffs, crankshaft etc etc. A TD is like an SD that has never had the driver ask the full of its performance. Its always had that 17% off full performance held back. IMO ...

    Pretty sure the TD has the 6HP26 ZF or equivalent 8spd, rated for 600Nm, where as the SD has the 6HP28 rated for 650NM, so in terms of utilisation, whether its a TD or SD should be about the same....IMHO

    The TDV6 and SDV6 with the 8-speed both use the same 8HP70 (700Nm) box.
