A question for the D4 owners who have purchased either the MOAB or TuffAnt 18” Alloys to replace either their 19” or 20” rims, has anyone had any issues with either brand? I note that the TuffAnts are rated at 1050kg and the Moabs at 980kg.
Any real life experiences with either of these two different model wheels would be appreciated.
Like the look of the MOAB rims Briar... I'm also thinking of going with 265/60 R18 tyres, so interested in how things have gone. That's assuming you have been able to get out onto the road for a decent run in these challenging times :-).Quote:

Briar, I think that there are going to be a whole host of people just waiting to be able to launch out onto road trips across Oz. I'm in a similar boat, the OEM Goodyear Wranglers still have a way to go before they need to be swapped out... so will bide my time doing research :-) pending the time when things open up again.Quote:

The guys at the tyre shop were starting to panic when I arrived to pick it up, however, removing the tow assembly, and carefully angling the tyre allowed it to go into place ok.
They've been offroad a couple of times, no problems so far...

One thing to keep in mind when reading posts from the USA regarding either D3/4’s is they don’t have diesels, they only have V8 petrol models so their Disco’s don’t have the smaller diameter brake rotors that 2.7 litre diesel models do which allows 17” rims. At least one AULRO member previously fitted the smaller rotors and disc’s from a D3 to his V8 D4 so he could fit 17” rims in the past. This is a good off road option but whether or not it is legal is another story.
